Kodiak Treks - an adventure for nature enthusiasts!
Not a flightseeing program, but low impact bear viewing excursions in small groups and world-class adventure based out of a lodge, located in the heart of Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, is our favorite suggestion for nature enthusiasts, looking to experience wild Alaska with knowledgeable, local guides. The program is designed to make you feel comfortable in bear country.
Recommended are 3 to 5 days stay to minimize impact on bears and to maximize your experience.
Rustic comfortable accommodations are what awaits you on Aleut Island, located 50 air miles southwest of the city Kodiak in spectacular Uyak Bay.

Treks are 2-6 days in duration. All trips with master guide/biologist Harry Dodge. Food, tents, and necessary camping equipment are included in the price. In addition to bears, the group can expect to see a variety of wildlife including bald eagles, Sitka deer, mountain goat, marine mammals, and more.
It's an absolutely unique and awesome  way to experience spectacular Kodiak Island!
