Midnight Sun Dinner & Float, Dine at Fairbanks' famed Two Rivers Lodge and Float the Pristine and Scenic Chena River in the Chena State Recreation Area

Tour Summary:

*Join hosts Joe & Vicki Letarte, proprietors of Wilderness Enterprises for a pleasant Alaska-style evening. Since 1982, Wilderness Enterprises has lead excursions of all types throughout Alaska's Interior and Arctic.

*Meet your guide at the tour departure point at the main gate of Pioneer Park in Fairbanks. Enjoy an approximately 40 minute ground tour north of Fairbanks.

*Dining for the Midnight Sun Dinner & Float takes place at Two Rivers Lodge located in a rustic log building along Chena Hot Springs Road. Since Territorial Days, Two Rivers Lodge has been providing local residents with the finest in Alaskan gourmet cuisine.

*After dinner, enjoy an approximately 1 1/2 hour leisurely float. The float takes place aboard open rafts and guests should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a jacket.

*The winding clear waters of the Chena River flow through the Chena State Recreation Area. The Chena supports world class Arctic Grayling fisheries as well as runs of Yukon River king and chum salmon. Although wildlife viewing is unpredictable; martin, beaver, otter, and bald eagles inhabit this area along with moose, black and brown bear.

*Upon completion of the short river journey, get a glimpse of wilderness living at Joe and Vicki's shoreside log home before heading back into Fairbanks.

Midnight Sun Dinner & Float Menu Selection:
1.8 Oz. Slow Cooked Prime Rib
2. 8 Oz. Flame Broiled New York Steak
3.Alaskan Chicken Oscar: Grilled chicken breast topped with asparagus and king crab smothered in bŽarnaise sauce
4.Vegetable Primavera: Mixed vegetables sautŽed in a basil and garlic infused olive oil then tossed with pasta and a light cream sauce
5.Yukon Jon's Grilled Salmon: 8 Oz. grilled Alaska wild salmon topped with Jon's own Captain Morgan Sauce
Selections are served with vegetable, dessert, and coffee or iced tea.
