The Alaska Marine Highway is the perfect way to visit the communities along Alaska’s coastline. From the southernmost terminal in Bellingham, up along the spectacular Inside passage to Skagway, Haines and Juneau; further north to Valdez and Whittier, or, across the golf and on along the Aleutian Islands all the way to Dutch Harbor – those are the routes the ferry is serving.

On long sailings you can either book a small cabin on board, or you may just as well sleep in your sleeping bag on the floor in the day room, or, better yet, on a recliner on the covered deck under the heater, or in your own tent.

If you wish to travel the Inside Passage from/to Prince Rupert, Haines or Skagway, Alaska Marine offers a good deal with the See Alaska Pass. The pass offers passengers the chance to make up to three stops, and explore the communities of Ketchikan, Wrangell, Petersburg, Sitka, Juneau or Haines, for the ticket price of $160.00, a savings of up to 25%. The See Alaska Pass is only valid for travel to these communities.

Prince William Sound, Gulf of Alaska, Kenai Peninsula, or Kodiak Island – your getaways for kayaking, rafting, and wildlife viewing all are accessible by Alaska Marine ferries.

The Aleutian chain, the land of mystery, birds, fog, stormy seas, is awaiting you with a monthly run of a ferry.

Let us know where you wish to go and we’ll show you the options you have with Alaska Marine Highway and other public transportation.
