Prudhoe Bay - a three day guided roundtrip journey by air and land to Alaska's Arctic Coast (Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay/Deadhorse to Fairbanks)
The Arctic Ocean Adventure travels from Fairbanks in both southbound and northbound directions. This adventure can be extended one day and one night to include the Inupiat Eskimo Village of Barrow (Barrow Extension) or it can be extended with an extra night in the Brooks Mountain Range (Arctic Ocean Wilderness Adventure). "All Land" option (no flying) is also available for those wishing to remain on the ground.

Arctic Ocean Adventure Southbound
Tour Summary:
DAY 1: Fly north from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay. Visit the Prudhoe Bay oil fields and begin the journey by dipping your toe in the frigid waters of the Arctic Ocean. Overnight at Prudhoe Bay.
DAY 2: Ground tour south in the personalized comfort of a tour van along the famed Dalton Highway. Explore up close the amazing arctic tundra of the Arctic Coastal Plain and feel the veins of ice just beneath the surface. Continue across the Arctic Coastal Plain before climbing through the majestic Brooks Mountain Range and over the Continental Divide at Atigun Pass. Overnight at rustic Coldfoot.
DAY 3: Visit the wilderness community of Wiseman. Cross over the Arctic Circle and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate. Experience the mighty Yukon River. Marvel at the majestic beauty of the northland's most famous waterway and learn of the river's storied past. Visit the Arctic Circle Trading Post situated in the rural community of Joy, Alaska. Complete your adventure with a southbound ground tour back to Fairbanks.
Departs by air approximately 7:00 am on DAY 1; returns by land approximately 8:00 - 9:00 pm on DAY 3.

DAY 1: Ground tour north in the personalized comfort of our tour vans. Visit the Arctic Circle Trading Post situated in the rural community of Joy, Alaska. Travel the rugged Dalton Highway. Experience the mighty Yukon River. Marvel at the majestic beauty of the northland's most famous waterway and learn of the river's storied past. Cross over the Arctic Circle and receive an Official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate. Overnight at rustic Coldfoot.  Optional Anaktuvuk Pass Adventure available on Day 1 (see end of page).

Arctic Ocean / Prudhoe Bay

As we travel along the famous Alaska Pipeline, your 3-day tour will be full with information and lots of time to enjoy the beautiful land of the Interior and Arctic of Alaska.
Our experienced Alaskan Driver/Guide will answer your questions and endeavor to make this tour the highlight of your Alaskan vacation.
At our rest stops, you can purchase breakfast and dinner. Please bring snacks and beverages. Accommodation is included.

1st Day

  • 7:00am pick up at your location.
  • Trans-Alaska-Pipeline - Get a close up view of the famous pipeline and learn interesting facts about the engineering and building period.
  • Breakfast at Hilltop, a rustic truckstop (meal not included)
  • Cross the mighty Yukon River.
  • Arctic Circle - Have your picture taken at Arctic Circle and receive your
    Arctic Circle Certificate.
  • Coldfoot - Visit the state-of-the-art visitor center at the famous halfway stop along the Dalton Highway.
  • Dinner at Coldfoot Camp (meal not included)
  • Spend a romantic night in the gold mining village of Wiseman.

2nd Day

  • Continental breakfast (meal not included)
  • Brooks Range - Astonishing peaks, great views and with a little luck you will spot grizzly bears and dall sheep.
  • Arctic Tundra - Experience the beautiful arctic and view musk ox and caribou in their natural habitat.
  • Deadhorse - The supplying town for Prudhoe Bay. Information and safety presentation about the oil field.
  • Prudhoe Bay - Visit the oil field and touch the edge of the mystic Arctic Ocean.
  • Early dinner at the Arctic Oil Field Inn (meal not included)
  • Drive back through Arctic Tundra and Brooks Range in the late evening hours.
  • Overnight in our accommodations in Wiseman.

3rd Day

  • Morning hike through historic Wiseman and along the Koyukuk river.
  • Late breakfast at Coldfoot Camp (meal not included)
  • Finger Mountain - A short nature hike in a beautiful high plateau above the tree line.
  • Yukon River - Walk right to the edge of Alaska¡¦s most famous river. It will impress you with its majesty and history.
  • Dinner at Yukon Camp (meal not included)
  • 10:00pm arrival at your location.
